House Relocation – Kaikohe, Northland

This project involves the sustainable relocation and reuse of the second storey of an existing house, giving the building a new life within a new community.

The original Auckland property was left vacant due to flood-zone constraints. Rather than demolishing the existing structure, the second storey will be removed and relocated to a new subdivision site in Kaikohe, Northland. The project also includes the restoration and recladding of the front entrance and the addition of a new outdoor deck, strengthening the home’s connection with its new setting.
